Scholar spends EP and ritual time to bestow the Lore Knowledge Tier 1 – Background Knowledge ability upon 1 target until the beginning of the next Phaze event.  Scholar also bestows 1 area of Scholarly Lore to the target until the beginning of the next Phaze event.  The area of Scholarly Lore bestowed in this manner must be known by the Scholar.

Scholar is versed in the spell methods for casting and learning spells of any Class she has Spellcraft for.

Tier 1 – Spellcasting

Scholar may cast spells of level equal to or lower than her Scholar level.  Casting a spell costs EP equal to its level.  If the Scholar’s spellbook is not in her possession, the Scholar may not cast spells.  Scholar may also learn spells into her spellbook.  This ability may be used with spells of any Class she has Spellcraft for.

Personal Spell Copy - Requires Spellcraft

Tier 1 – Create Personalized Spell Scroll

Scholar spends 1 EP and Ritual time to prime a scroll to receive 1 Charge of a spell. A spell must be cast upon the scroll immediately upon conclusion of the ritual, or the Charge is lost.  The scroll is Attuned to 1 target.  No other characters, other than the target the scroll is Attuned to, may use this scroll.

Disseminate Magic - Requires Spellcraft
This ability allows the scholar to strip magic from an item and transfer the spell properties into his spellbook.  The scholar must be in possession or control of the item.  This ability does not work on Cleric items.

Tier 1 – Dismantle Item

Scholar spends EP to transfer the magical properties of one item into her spellbook.  This depletes three charges from the item. Using this ability on an item with less than three charges destroys item, and no properties are transferred.

Scholar spends EP to learn an ability from a target’s Passport; adding it to her codex.  Abilities contained in Skill Codices may not be learned with this ability.  If, at any time during the ritual, the target elects to Actively Resist this effect, their Resistance is automatically successful.
